1. Contracting party and service position This service is operated by StringRoute. StringRoute is an independent AI service platform that provides AI Webchat and API management services compatible with the OpenAI format. StringRoute is not an official product, authorized agent, affiliate, partner, or official access point of OpenAI, ChatGPT, or any third-party model provider. Unless we expressly state otherwise in writing, you must not represent or understand StringRoute as having any official authorization, endorsement, certification, agency status, or partnership with a third-party model provider.
Terms of Service
Effective: June 20, 2026. Last updated: June 20, 2026. These terms apply when you access or use the StringRoute website, Webchat, API, dashboard, subscriptions, top-ups, quota packages, enterprise plans, billing, risk controls, and related services.
2. Services Webchat: AI chat, conversation history, file analysis, image understanding, PWA mobile access, and related features for individual users. Dashboard and API: API Key, usage, model pricing, balance, order, plan, billing, and risk-control management for developers and businesses, together with a multi-model API compatible with the OpenAI format. The platform currently focuses on access to large language models such as the GPT family. Model names, sources, prices, quotas, and availability are shown in the dashboard or on the purchase page. We may add, replace, suspend, or discontinue models based on upstream providers, cost, stability, policy requirements, and business needs.
3. Registration and account security You must provide true, accurate, and complete registration information and keep it current. You must protect your account, password, API Key, access token, payment credentials, and other authentication information. A Webchat account is generally for the registered user's personal use. API users are responsible for all requests, content, charges, end-user conduct, and compliance consequences associated with their API Keys. You are responsible for calls, charges, losses, and disputes caused by leaking, publishing, sharing, selling, transferring, renting, embedding in frontend code, committing to a public repository, or otherwise failing to protect an account or API Key.
4. User content and masking before upload Text entered in Webchat, uploaded files and images, conversation history, and API request content may be processed, transmitted, cached, logged, or submitted to necessary third-party providers to generate AI output, bill usage, manage security risks, troubleshoot issues, perform compliance audits, and resolve disputes. Before submitting text, images, files, API requests, or other content, you must remove, obscure, or mask sensitive personal information, authentication credentials, keys, trade secrets, regulated data, and any information that should not be processed by a third-party model provider. We do not actively request sensitive information or build data assets for the purpose of retaining it. We use reasonable measures such as automated cleaning, intelligent routing, encrypted transport, access controls, and log masking, but cannot guarantee that all sensitive information voluntarily submitted by users will be detected or removed.
5. AI output disclaimer AI output is generated automatically from user input, context, model capabilities, and system settings. It may be inaccurate, incomplete, fabricated, outdated, biased, repetitive, similar to third-party content, or unsuitable for a particular purpose. StringRoute does not guarantee the accuracy, truthfulness, completeness, originality, copyright eligibility, non-infringement, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or commercial outcome of AI output. You must not rely on AI output as the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, investment, tax, security, material business, or other professional decisions. You must independently verify output and are responsible for how you use it.
6. Billing, plans, and quotas StringRoute may charge through free quotas, Webchat memberships, API balance top-ups, quota packages, enterprise plans, and other paid services. Free, promotional, or gifted quotas, lower-priced plans, and membership benefits are not promises of unlimited service. Applicable models, quotas, rates, concurrency, context length, file size, image-processing limits, queue priority, and validity periods are shown on the purchase page, in the dashboard, or in related notices. We may adjust models, prices, billing multipliers, rates, concurrency, features, quotas, and plan benefits based on upstream model costs, system load, exchange rates, payment channels, risk controls, policy requirements, and service stability.
7. Additional obligations for API users API users must ensure that their applications, end users, customers, employees, agents, contractors, and partners comply with these terms, the Privacy Policy, refund rules, Fair Use Policy, platform compliance guidance, upstream provider policies, and applicable law. API users must provide required privacy notices to end users, obtain required authorizations, and ensure a lawful basis for personal data, sensitive data, cross-border transfers, regulated-industry use, and content processing. API users must indemnify StringRoute for claims, penalties, investigations, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees caused by their use, customer or end-user use, API Key leaks, unlawful content, improper data processing, or breach of these terms.
8. Prohibited conduct Illegal, infringing, fraudulent, harassing, hateful, violent, pornographic, gambling, money-laundering, terrorist, cyberattack, malicious-code, or similar conduct. Bypassing, damaging, probing, reverse engineering, stress attacking, or interfering with StringRoute, upstream providers, or other users' systems. Bulk account registration, account sharing, quota resale, usage farming, abuse of free quotas, abusive refunds, or multi-account arbitrage. Uploading unauthorized personal information, trade secrets, copyrighted content, regulated data, or unlawful content. Presenting StringRoute as an official product, agent, or access point of OpenAI, ChatGPT, or any third-party model provider. Violating the Fair Use Policy, anti-abuse rules, risk-control rules, or upstream provider policies.
9. Risk controls, suspension, and freezing If system detection, user complaints, payment anomalies, upstream feedback, manual review, or other reasonable grounds indicate a risk of violation, abuse, fraud, attack, restriction evasion, account or API Key sharing, quota resale, chargeback, prohibited content, or upstream-policy violations, we may rate-limit, degrade, queue, reject requests, remove content, suspend or reset API Keys, suspend or terminate accounts, freeze balances or orders, deny refunds, and retain logs and evidence. Reasonable risk-control measures taken for these purposes are not a breach of these terms and do not create liability, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
10. Third-party models and upstream services Parts of StringRoute rely on third-party model, cloud, payment, security, network, and other necessary providers. Model availability, output quality, context length, rates, pricing, data-processing rules, content review, abuse detection, regional restrictions, and service continuity may be affected by those providers. Our responsibility for upstream interruption, delay, changes, refusal, suspension, pricing changes, or policy changes is limited to the scope stated in these terms.
11. Regional availability and local compliance StringRoute serves users globally, but website access, generative AI, algorithmic services, model services, cross-border data, payments, and content compliance may be regulated differently by country or region. Unless expressly stated in writing, StringRoute does not represent that every filing, license, registration, certification, or local compliance process has been completed in any particular jurisdiction. You must confirm that your access, purchase, deployment, integration, and end-user use comply with the laws and industry requirements where you and your business operate.
12. Intellectual property and limitation of liability The StringRoute website, systems, interfaces, code, trademarks, branding, copy, pricing structure, risk-control rules, and service combinations belong to StringRoute or their respective rights holders. To the extent permitted by law, users retain rights in content they lawfully submit. Users may use lawfully obtained AI output subject to applicable law, third-party provider terms, and these terms. To the extent permitted by law, StringRoute is not liable for indirect loss, lost profits, business interruption, data loss, model errors, inaccurate output, third-party service failures, upstream model changes, payment-channel issues, user abuse, or loss caused by a user's failure to mask sensitive data. Our aggregate liability is limited to the lower of the amount actually paid to StringRoute for the relevant service during the three months before the dispute or HKD 100. This limit does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.
13. Appeals, governing law, and disputes To appeal an account restriction, API Key suspension, frozen balance, denied refund, or content action, email [email protected] with the account, order number, last four characters of the API Key, relevant time, error details, business context, and supporting material. We will use reasonable efforts to respond within 10 business days. These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Hong Kong unless mandatory law in the user's location requires otherwise. Disputes arising from these terms or the services are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
